When you engage Ray Davey for a paid engagement, the following additional information is collected:
- Billing name and organisation
- Payment information processed via Stripe or Payoneer (see Third Parties below)
- Email correspondence relating to the engagement

Payoneer — International payment processing for client invoices. Payoneer processes payment and banking information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Ray Davey does not store banking details beyond what appears on invoices. Payoneer’s privacy policy is available at payoneer.com.
Google Analytics — Website analytics provided by Google LLC. Google may process data on servers located outside your country of residence. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the cookie settings on this site or via Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Gmail (Google Workspace) — Email correspondence is conducted via Gmail. Google processes email data in accordance with its terms of service and privacy policy.
No other third-party tools are used to process client or visitor data.
Data Retention
Enquiry information from the briefing form is retained for a period of 12 months from the date of submission, or for the duration of the engagement if one proceeds, whichever is longer.
Client correspondence, work product, and invoicing records are retained for 7 years following the conclusion of the engagement, in accordance with standard business record-keeping practice.
Website analytics data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
International Transfers
Ray Davey is based in New Zealand. If you are located in the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, Canada, or Australia, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in New Zealand. New Zealand has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Data processed by Google, Stripe, and Payoneer may be transferred to and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions in accordance with those companies’ own data transfer practices and safeguards.

Information you share about your legal matter through the briefing form or during the engagement is treated as confidential in accordance with Ray Davey’s Standard Terms of Engagement and, where applicable, any Non-Disclosure Agreement in place between the parties.
Ray Davey does not use information about your legal matter for any purpose other than delivering the agreed research work.
